Sophisticated Technology requires skilled repairs

Nissan’s Safety Shield® Technologies rely on sophisticated sensors, radars, and cameras located throughout your Nissan.  It’s imperative your Nissan is repaired and recalibrated to manufacturer specifications by skilled and trained professionals after a loss. Post-repair scanning is also required to ensure that all built in safety and Nissan Intelligent Driving Systems are working following any repairs.

When you start to drift from your lane, Lane Departure Warning system alerts you with a visual warning on the display and an audible signal.* If Lane Departure Prevention detects that you are still straying from your lane, it will engage and gently help guide you back.* Nissan Genuine Glass has been precisely designed to help allow your Safety Shield technologies to “see” through the glass.

*Only operates when lane markings are clearly visible. Speed and other limitations apply. See owner’s manual for details.

Unlike traditional systems that only maintain a set speed, available Intelligent Cruise Control also helps maintain an adjustable set distance between you and the car in front of you. As traffic slows down or speeds up, your vehicle can respond accordingly.*

*Intelligent Cruise Control uses limited braking and is not a collision avoidance or warning system. Driver should monitor traffic conditions and brake as needed to prevent collisions. See owner’s manual for safety information.

If another vehicle is detected in your blind spot area, an indicator appears in the driver’s or front passenger’s door and on the Advanced Drive-Assist Display. Put your turn signal on, and the indicator flashes with a warning chime to alert you.*

*Not a substitute for proper lane change procedures. The system will not prevent contact with other vehicles or accidents. It may not detect every vehicle or object around you.

Automatic Emergency Braking uses radar technology to track the vehicle in front of you to help you avoid or reduce the severity of a collision.* After an accident, the radar system may need replacement and/or calibration, which should only be trusted to a trained repair professional.

*Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection cannot prevent all collisions and may not provide warning or braking in all conditions. Driver should monitor traffic conditions and brake as needed to prevent collisions. See owner’s manual for safety information.

The available Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection uses four cameras to give you a virtual, composite 360° bird’s-eye view of your vehicle from above. Following an accident, these cameras may need replacement and/or calibration to continue to function properly.
